Virginia Bolding Hunter, 98, of Texas City, Texas passed away, Thursday, April 14, 2022.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Rest Haven Memorial Garden in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Virginia Bolding Hunter was born, August 14, 1923 to John Thomas and Ann Lee Bolding in El Dorado, Arkansas. She had three older brothers, Perry, Merell and John. At an early age she learned to play the piano and played for small churches where her father preached. She married a high school classmate William C. Hunter, Jr. in 1943 when he returned from the war. She had three children, Chris, Nancy and David in El Dorado. She was a member of the St. Paul Methodist Church which she played piano and organ for several years. In 1968 she moved to Texas City with her husband and started working for Texas City National Bank for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, son, Chris and daughter, Nancy.

Survivors include her seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
