Glenn Russell Coffey, 72, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away on October 3, 2022. The memorial services will be announced at a later date.
Glenn Russell Coffey was born January 27, 1950 in Seamen, Ohio and raised in Warner Robins Ga. Russ graduated from the Work Core and received his high school diploma at the age of 15. Russ joined the United States Air Force in 1973 and retired in 1992. Soon after retirement he completed his education by receiving a Bachelor degree in Computer Science. Russ was also a member of the Toys for Tots team in Tampa Florida. He became a member of the First Baptist Church Texas City June 21, 2015.
Russ is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Caruthers; father, Herman Coffey; stepmother, Bernice; brothers, Ralph and Danny; sister, Anita Young; sister-In-Law Sharon Coffey; father-In-Law, John H. Monk; mother-In-Law, Irene Monk.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis (Joy) Monk Coffey; ex-wife and the mother of his sons, Shelly Oliver; sons, Richard Edward Coffey and Stephen Blaine Coffey; grandchildren, Ashleigh Blaine Horning, Stephen Blaine Coffey Jr., Cory Blaine Coffey and Derek Blaine Coffey, Christopher Coffey and Jennifer Coffey; great-grandchildren, Brantley Simon, Amrietta and Oliva Horning. brothers, Ronald Coffey; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Coffey and David Coffey, sister-in-law, Suzanne Coffey; sister-in-laws, Beverly Stewart, and Margaret Lutz; brother-in-law, John Lawrence Monk. Russ also had the honor to become the godfather of Grace Austin Wisinger and Michelle Austin Treadaway. Russ also loved his many nieces and nephews.
