Eric was born March 22, 1978, in Texas City to Bruce Eric Cole, Sr. and Rita Lynne Schaper Cole.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Lynne Schaper Cole, and twin boys Jared Michael and Jake William Cole.

Eric was survived by his daughter, Sydney Chase Cole of Ohio, his significant other, Linda Molina, his father Bruce Eric Cole, Sr. and wife Laura, his twin sister, Lindsay Brooke Cole Martin and husband Brian, his baby sister, Ashley Catherine Cole McConniel and husband Jason, his brother Mark William Presley and wife Melissa and sister Allyson Lynne Waite Presley and husband Mike, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mark Presley, Brian Martin, Lonnie Molina, Mario Molina, Jason Bryant, Trung T. Luu (Chino) and honorary pallbearer Bruce Eric Cole, Sr.

Eric spent many years playing little league baseball at the Sta/Mo fields in Stafford, TX where he excelled, winning many tournaments.  Eric then joined the Wings Track team of Missouri City, TX and went to Junior Olympics for Shot Put in Lincoln, NE in 1990.  He attended Elkins High School and continued his love for baseball, where he was a pitcher for the varsity baseball team.  After high school he became interested in the elevator trade and began working for Thyssen Krupp Elevator Company.  His time with the elevator company was short-lived as he suffered from a terrible car accident in 2007 resulting in a severe spinal cord injury leaving him partially paralyzed.  However, he always said he made “Lemonade out of Lemons”.

The most important thing to Eric was spending time with family.  He always looked forward to spending time with his daughter Sydney.  He made fond memories taking her to the zoo, beach and mainly just to hang out with all his siblings while she was in town.   Sydney loved waking up early in the mornings with her dad while they sat quietly together on the back porch chewing on dill that he had grown.

Some of Eric’s other interests were focused on gardening, he had a very green thumb. He was a phenomenal cook, if anyone mentioned that “something sounding good”, he would make it and it always turned out amazing! He loved grilling and did so almost every day of the week. He also loved watching YouTube videos on gardening, tribes, steel forging and rollercoasters.

He had no filter in expressing his thoughts which was one of his beautiful qualities. He was the favorite uncle, all the kids loved being around him. He would take them on adventures, pulling them behind his wheelchair. He enjoyed taking them swimming, making rainbow pancakes for breakfast, and taking them to the park.  He was a dog dad and had 5 little chihuahua’s that he spoiled with chicken nuggets and one he trained to load up under his wheelchair on a hammock he made for her.

Eric was a good man, a man that believed in prayer, a man with a kind soul, and a man that will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him.
