Wesley Lance Waggoner, 46, of San Leon, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Emken Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2017 at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas.

Lance was born October 9, 1970 in Texas City. He was a pipefitter and former truck driver who loved car racing in his spare time. He had a host of friends and he never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Waggoner.

Survivors include mother, Theresa Dock and stepfather, Tom Dock; brothers, Jimmy Doyle Waggoner, Jr. and Rodney Waggoner and wife Katrina; sister, Arlene Davlin and husband Buddy; niece, Alexis Davlin; nephews, Josh Davlin, Dustin and Robert McClure;

    Theresa and Tom - I miss you both at church. Meant to see you at the funeral but got mixed up on the time. Wes sounds like a very nice man. I know this is a great, sad loss. Also, time heals as you both know. Took me 4 months (just to get started) but now I just am very happy for having 50 years with dear Alberta.
